Dog Care

How often should my dog be groomed?

This is often dependent upon your dog's lifestyle & yours. It’s recommended that dogs be groomed (bath, nails shortened, ears cleaned, brushing and for those it applies to a haircut) at least every 4-6 weeks. Some dogs require grooming more often.

Is it important to my dog’s health to be groomed? Even if he has short hair?

Yes! Bathing and brushing helps remove dead skin and coat to reduce shedding, matting and skin irritations. Clean ears prevent costly and painful ear infections. Long nails can cause your dog severe pain, actually breaking down the bones and muscles in the paws over time.

So whether you groom at home or take your pet to a professional it’s important to keep up with regular grooming.

What is the best dog food and how can it help my dog?

Every dog has different requirements. But typically the average grocery store brand has minimal nutrition and low quality ingredients. This can be seen most obviously by the price. We all know that highly processed low nutrition food is cheaper than fresh nutrient rich foods. Dogs with allergies, skin issues, coat problems and chronic ear infections can often benefit the most from high quality diets.
